The above ad campaign that Caltrans created “Be Work Zone Alert”, highlights the importance of a Safer Work Zone. Freeway Screens designed the Arrow Screen gawk screens in conjunction with Caltrans Safety Group to improve Worker Safety!
We accomplished this in the Arrow Screen – GS10-0-24 (also known as GS-10X24) by complying with the CalTrans requirements of a 24” screen height and adding an Orange surface to heighten driver’s awareness. Additionally, we have also embedded supporting pipes into the screen for added safety.

Unlike wood screens that can delaminate and come apart in the work zone, the Arrow Screen is constructed as a One-Piece product.

- CALTRANS 24″ height and ODOT 32″ height help to reduce headlight glare and better protect workers. Orange color increases visibility. The height of the panel helps to reduce headlight glare and better protects workers.
- Constructed from a UV protected thermoplastic that makes for a tough and longer lasting screen that will not rot or delaminate like wood.
